PanaCast SDK: People-count API

The common functions video functions of Jabra PanaCast devices (setting up video-streams etc) are controlled through the USB video class protocol, as specified in the USB Device Class Definition (see https://www.usb.org). Interface libraries providing higher-level abstractions of the USB control protocol is provided with operating systems as eg. a Minidriver for Microsoft Windows, or as commercial or open source libraries for Linux and other platforms.

To access the unique, intelligent capabilities of the PanaCast video devices you will need to use the PanaCast API provided by Jabra. The SDK is currently available for Windows.

The API provides access the People-count function of the camera, and includes a demo app (client and server) illustrating how to use the library API.

Main changes from previous version:

  • Internal people-count detection interval reduced to 3 seconds (from 10 seconds) to faster updates.
  • Sample people-count HTTP Server updated csv date format.
