Requirements

Call Control for Amazon Connect has been designed for use cases with connected components on different levels. Please check carefully if all requirements are fulfilled on each level before you start your integration.

Required Prior Knowledge

Working with this software requires prior knowledge in:

Ensure that you are familiar with these topics before your start your own integration.

1. Amazon (cloud level)

The cloud provides telephony functionality for the web application.

Requirements are:

  • Registered Amazon Connect instance

2. Web Server (server level)

The web server centrally provides a web application with telephony functionality to all clients.

Requirements are:

  • Web application for voice calls
  • Integration of Amazon Connect into the web application

3. Agent's computer (client level)

Each client accesses the web application via browser.

Requirements are:

  • Operating System: Windows or macOS
  • Browser: Google Chrome 87 or higher. Other chromium based browsers are also expected to work
  • ChromeHost (Windows or macOS): Connects the Jabra device with the operating system
  • ChromeHost (Chrome Extension): Connects the web application (browser level) with the Chrome Host (operating system level)

4. Headset (device level)

Each headset is connected to an agent's computer.

General Feature Support

Device requirements are:

  • Call Control support (essential)
  • Programmable button (optional, for the use as Agent State button)

Install newest firmware on all devices that you use.
